Engineering for Democracy (engineer) was founded in 2021 and is made up of students, technicians and technicians, female engineers, professionals from related areas who work in Engineering, masters and doctors in Engineering, who defend Democracy in all its dimensions: social, economic, political and environmental . In order for your experience on EngD's institutional website and managed platforms to be the best possible, we present our PRIVACY POLICY ("Policy"), a document that aims to clarify the terms and conditions that guide our data processing activities. personal.

This Policy was edited in compliance with the applicable legislation, namely the Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014) and the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 13,709/2018 or “LGPD”), and is based on in our necessary commitment to transparency with our supporters and followers.

B. Glossary
Registration:is the registration made on the institutional website by the user subscribing to the EngD newsletter and through which EngD is authorized to send communications to the user;
User Account:user registration and identification, for which login and password are defined that allow access to the logged area of EngD platforms;
Cookies:are small files with data that websites request browsers to store, allowing you to identify your access device. These files are used, for example, for security protocols, functionality activation and navigation customization;
Anonymized Data: are data that have undergone a series of treatments so that they can no longer be directly or indirectly associated with a person, considering the available and reasonable technical means;

Person in charge (DPO):person, natural or legal, indicated by EngD as responsible for the communication channel between EngD, you and government authorities in relation to this Policy and the use, collection and processing of personal data by EngD;
engineer: Engineering for Democracy, an associative movement responsible for managing the institutional website, whose main address is currentlyhttp://www.engdemocracy.com.br, and other platforms related to your social activities;
Logs:activity records of users or visitors made from accessing the institutional website and platforms managed by EngD;
Newsletter:action offered by EngD on its institutional website, sending a newsletter to the registered user with information related, directly or not, to EngD's activities;
Platforms:are digital platforms, managed by EngD, intended, among others, for the dissemination of our proposals, ideas, news, opinions of ours and partners, activities, courses and certifications in the area of education, environment, development and monitoring of solutions in technologies and innovations , etc.
Data holder:is every natural person who visits the institutional website or accesses the platforms managed by EngD, upon registration of the user account, or interacts with the functionalities offered by these environments.
Ç. Collection of personal data
When visiting our institutional website and platforms, as well as using the functionalities and actions offered through them, EngD automatically collects, or you provide us directly, some of your personal data. This collection is carried out from the moment you access the website and platforms environment.
ENGD may also receive your personal data from partners and supporters who support the maintenance and operation of EngD's website and platforms, and their respective functionalities and actions, such as the newsletter and electronic communications, as well as the continuous improvement of the activities presented to you.
The personal data collected by EngD are:

ENGD has the right to delete personal data at its convenience or if required by law. However, as an exception, you may maintain this data and your registration history even after this period for audit purposes, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, for the regular exercise of EngD's rights or for the legal term that justifies said retention.
As indicated in item G, below, you may also request EngD to delete your personal data, being certain that, even in this case, EngD may continue to keep your data stored for the purpose of complying with legal or regulatory obligations, for the regular exercise of EngD's rights or for the legal term that justifies said retention. The deletion of this data will not cover past activities in which EngD has used said data.
G. Rights of holders of personal data
Through the channel indicated in item K, below, you will be able to exercise the rights guaranteed to holders of personal data by the applicable legislation. In this sense, ensuring the greatest possible transparency for the user, EngD lists these rights below:

· treatment confirmation– allows you to request EngD to confirm the processing of your personal data;

· Sharing information– allows you to ask EngD for confirmation about which third parties your personal data has been shared with;

· Consent and revocation information– allows you (a) to have clear information about the possibility and consequences of not giving your consent, and (b) ask EngD to revoke your consent in relation to processing activities that are based on consent, provided that you acknowledge that the revocation will not affect the legality of any treatment previously carried out by EngD and that it may prevent you from using the website, platforms and functionalities/actions offered by EngD in its entirety, or even make such use completely unfeasible;

Requests will be analyzed as provided for in current legislation and, for legitimate reasons, some requests may not be met.
H. Activity log
ENGD can record the activities you carry out when using the institutional website and platforms, or when accessing the communications and notifications sent, creating, when possible and applicable, logs (records of activities carried out) that will contain: the IP address, access and actions taken, date and time of each action taken and information about the device used, such as operating system version, browser and geolocation.
In addition, always respecting the terms of this Policy, EngD uses or may use other technologies, its own or third parties, to record its activities, as indicated below:

As indicated in this Policy, EngD may use third-party contracted servers and may even store your personal data on cloud computing servers located outside Brazil.
In addition, in some cases, EngD may share your personal data with a partner and/or institutional supporters located abroad, for purposes of support and/or collaboration in the execution of actions and/or functionalities offered on the websites and platforms managed by EngD .

Therefore, in order to maintain the security and protection of your personal data provided in the registration and/or user account, we recommend that you, under no circumstances
share your login and password with third parties, and that you take the necessary care when posting your personal data on social networks or any other public environment.
IMPORTANT: If EngD identifies that any of these situations have occurred, when required by the applicable legislation, EngD will notify the holders eventually affected, informing them of the violation of their personal data and indicating that they adopt the appropriate procedures.
K. General Provisions
1. Changes to this Policy
We may change this Policy from time to time. Every time any relevant condition of this Policy is changed, these changes will be valid, effective and binding from the publication and dissemination of the new version on our institutional website and platforms.
