Engineering for Democracy (engineer) was founded in 2021 and is made up of students, technicians and technicians, female engineers, professionals from related areas who work in Engineering, masters and doctors in Engineering, who defend Democracy in all its dimensions: social, economic, political and environmental . We are for the sovereignty of Brazil, we want Engineering to contribute to the reconstruction of our country under the Democratic State of Law

We want participation from all Democratic professionals like you. It is with pleasure that we welcome you to our institutional website and our social networks   to share the content and knowledge developed by our team throughout our history.

 

In order for your experience on EngD's institutional website and managed platforms to be the best possible, we present our PRIVACY POLICY ("Policy"), a document that aims to clarify the terms and conditions that guide our data processing activities. personal.

THE. Introduction

This Policy was edited in compliance with the applicable legislation, namely the Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law No. 12,965/2014) and the General Law for the Protection of Personal Data (Law No. 13,709/2018 or “LGPD”), and is based on in our necessary commitment to transparency with our supporters and followers.

The guidelines contained in this Policy present EngD's view on privacy and protection of personal data, and encompass the activities developed and related to the institutional website and other platforms managed by EngD. Other sites that can be accessed through links available on this site may have privacy policies different from this one, and therefore subject to other rules and conditions.

 

B. Glossary

Registration:is the registration made on the institutional website by the user subscribing to the EngD newsletter and through which EngD is authorized to send communications to the user;

User Account:user registration and identification, for which login and password are defined that allow access to the logged area of EngD platforms;

Cookies:are small files with data that websites request browsers to store, allowing you to identify your access device. These files are used, for example, for security protocols, functionality activation and navigation customization;

Anonymized Data: are data that have undergone a series of treatments so that they can no longer be directly or indirectly associated with a person, considering the available and reasonable technical means;

Personal data:is information related to the identified or identifiable natural person, including, but not limited to, name, email, IP address, geolocation, sensitive data, etc.;

Sensitive Data:are personal data about racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, union affiliation or organization of a religious, philosophical or political nature, data referring to health or sexual life, genetic or biometric data, when linked to a natural person;

Person in charge (DPO):person, natural or legal, indicated by EngD as responsible for the communication channel between EngD, you and government authorities in relation to this Policy and the use, collection and processing of personal data by EngD;

engineer: Engineering for Democracy, an associative movement responsible for managing the institutional website, whose main address is currentlyhttp://www.engdemocracy.com.br, and other platforms related to your social activities;

Logs:activity records of users or visitors made from accessing the institutional website and platforms managed by EngD;

Newsletter:action offered by EngD on its institutional website, sending a newsletter to the registered user with information related, directly or not, to EngD's activities;

Platforms:are digital platforms, managed by EngD, intended, among others, for the dissemination of our proposals, ideas, news, opinions of ours and partners, activities, courses and certifications in the area of education, environment, development and monitoring of solutions in technologies and innovations , etc.

Data holder:is every natural person who visits the institutional website or accesses the platforms managed by EngD, upon registration of the user account, or interacts with the functionalities offered by these environments.

Ç. Collection of personal data

When visiting our institutional website and platforms, as well as using the functionalities and actions offered through them, EngD automatically collects, or you provide us directly, some of your personal data. This collection is carried out from the moment you access the website and platforms environment.

 

ENGD may also receive your personal data from partners and supporters who support the maintenance and operation of EngD's website and platforms, and their respective functionalities and actions, such as the newsletter and electronic communications, as well as the continuous improvement of the activities presented to you.

The personal data collected by EngD are:

  • ·  Data informed by you- registration and contact data, such as name, identification document, address, date of birth, gender and e-mail, as well as socioeconomic data and educational data;

  • ·  sensitive data– data provided by you in the use of evaluation tools made available by EngD platforms, training course, professional branch, political party preferences etc;

  • ·  navigation data– cookies, IP address, interactions carried out and profile of use of the website, platforms and their respective functionalities, and technical data, such as URL information, network connection, provider; and

  • ·  device data- device attributes, such as ID, operating system, browser and model, and device geolocation data if authorized to be collected by the visitor/user.

d. Use of personal data

The personal data collected in the ways indicated above are used by EngD with the main objective of offering you a quality experience in accessing the institutional website and other platforms, and in the use of the functionalities/actions offered by them, as well as to improve and improve the content and materials made available in these environments and/or sent in communications by EngD.

The uses of personal data by EngD are:

  • ·  Browsing and device data– execution of actions and activities offered on the website and platforms, improvement of the contents and activities of EngD, generation of statistics, studies, research and surveys relevant to the activities and behavior in the use of the website and platforms, its functionalities and actions offered by EngD, prevention and resolution of technical or safety problems, regular exercise of EngD's rights, collaboration or compliance with judicial or administrative orders, competent authorities or supervisory bodies, and compliance with legal or regulatory obligations.

AND. Personal data sharing

The personal data collected by EngD may be shared with public authorities and regulatory bodies, whenever necessary and also in the cases listed below.

In accordance with the terms of this Policy, personal data will be shared by EngD in compliance with its objectives and social activities, with a valid legal basis, and in compliance with the terms and conditions of the applicable regulations and regulations, including, without limitation, the terms of this Policy.

The sharing of personal data by EngD can occur with:

IMPORTANT: ENGD will share your personal data within the limits and purpose of its objectives and social activities, and in accordance with the terms of this Policy and the applicable legislation. The sharing will also respect the best security and privacy practices available to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of your personal data.

F. Storage of personal data

Personal data collected on the institutional website and platforms managed by EngD or provided directly by you to EngD will be transferred and stored in secure and controlled environments for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected. For storage purposes, EngD will use internal servers and/or third-party service providers to EngD, and may also perform storage using cloud computing technology and/or others that may arise in the future, always in compliance with the terms of this Policy and EngD's objectives and social activities.

ENGD has the right to delete personal data at its convenience or if required by law. However, as an exception, you may maintain this data and your registration history even after this period for audit purposes, compliance with legal or regulatory obligations, for the regular exercise of EngD's rights or for the legal term that justifies said retention.

As indicated in item G, below, you may also request EngD to delete your personal data, being certain that, even in this case, EngD may continue to keep your data stored for the purpose of complying with legal or regulatory obligations, for the regular exercise of EngD's rights or for the legal term that justifies said retention. The deletion of this data will not cover past activities in which EngD has used said data.

 

G. Rights of holders of personal data

Through the channel indicated in item K, below, you will be able to exercise the rights guaranteed to holders of personal data by the applicable legislation. In this sense, ensuring the greatest possible transparency for the user, EngD lists these rights below:

  • ·  data access– allows you to request EngD access to the data it stores in relation to you;

  • ·  data correction– allows you, in case of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data, to request EngD to correct or supplement the personal data;

  • ·  Anonymization, blocking or deletion of data– allows you to request (a) the anonymization of the data, so that they can no longer be related to you, (b) the blocking of your data, temporarily suspending the treatment, or (c) the deletion of your data, in which case we will erase all your personal data without the possibility of reversal, except in cases provided for by law and as provided for in this Policy;

  • ·  treatment confirmation– allows you to request EngD to confirm the processing of your personal data;

  • ·  Sharing information– allows you to ask EngD for confirmation about which third parties your personal data has been shared with;

  • ·  Consent and revocation information– allows you (a) to have clear information about the possibility and consequences of not giving your consent, and (b) ask EngD to revoke your consent in relation to processing activities that are based on consent, provided that you acknowledge that the revocation will not affect the legality of any treatment previously carried out by EngD and that it may prevent you from using the website, platforms and functionalities/actions offered by EngD in its entirety, or even make such use completely unfeasible;

  • ·  data portability– when possible, and based on the respective regulation by the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), it allows you to request EngD for the portability of your data; and,

  • ·  Opposition– allows you to request the interruption of certain processing of personal data carried out by EngD without your consent.

 

In order to exercise the rights listed above, EngD may ask you to prove your identity, as a security measure. And, once your request is received, EngD will respond immediately or you will have a period of up to 15 (fifteen) days to send a response, depending on the complexity of the request. Requests will be analyzed as provided for in current legislation and, for legitimate reasons, some requests may not be met.

H. Activity log

ENGD can record the activities you carry out when using the institutional website and platforms, or when accessing the communications and notifications sent, creating, when possible and applicable, logs (records of activities carried out) that will contain: the IP address, access and actions taken, date and time of each action taken and information about the device used, such as operating system version, browser and geolocation.

In addition, always respecting the terms of this Policy, EngD uses or may use other technologies, its own or third parties, to record its activities, as indicated below:

 

  • ·  Cookies– EngD uses its own and third-party cookies for various functions, such as enabling and facilitating the use of the institutional website and platforms, as well as its functionalities/actions, tracking your preferences, persisting information related to your activities in the visited environments, collecting information for sending more personalized communications and content, reducing the occurrence of failures during access, mitigating the risk of fraudulent activities, ensuring a more customizable navigation, offering security features during navigation, and statistically analyzing the general preferences of the set of visitors/users; and,

I. International transfer of personal data

As indicated in this Policy, EngD may use third-party contracted servers and may even store your personal data on cloud computing servers located outside Brazil.

In addition, in some cases, EngD may share your personal data with a partner and/or institutional supporters located abroad, for purposes of support and/or collaboration in the execution of actions and/or functionalities offered on the websites and platforms managed by EngD .

In these cases, in compliance with current legislation, EngD will respect the rules established for this shipment and will demand that these third parties comply with the terms of this Policy and other rules and legislation that may be applicable, as well as adopt the best security and privacy practices available to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of your personal data.

ENGD takes the appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee the integrity of your personal data. For this, we use industry-standard practices to maintain the security of collection, processing and storage activities, provided that they are commercially reasonable, such as encryption, firewalls and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

It happens that, no matter how effective the security technology is, no system is impenetrable, and unfortunately, we cannot completely guarantee the security of the databases, in the same way that we cannot guarantee that your personal data will not be intercepted. In this sense, EngD disclaims any liability for any damages and/or losses resulting from failures, viruses or database invasions, except in cases where its exclusive fraud or fault is proven.

Therefore, in order to maintain the security and protection of your personal data provided in the registration and/or user account, we recommend that you, under no circumstances

share your login and password with third parties, and that you take the necessary care when posting your personal data on social networks or any other public environment.

 

IMPORTANT: If EngD identifies that any of these situations have occurred, when required by the applicable legislation, EngD will notify the holders eventually affected, informing them of the violation of their personal data and indicating that they adopt the appropriate procedures.

K. General Provisions

1. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy from time to time. Every time any relevant condition of this Policy is changed, these changes will be valid, effective and binding from the publication and dissemination of the new version on our institutional website and platforms.

Committed to our values of transparency, in the event of a relevant update hereof, EngD will publicize such changes. It is recommended that you regularly review this document so that you are always up to date with its terms.
